Vertical Praise's "That's My King" Takes Radio by Storm!

NORTH GARDEN, Va. – Vertical Praise, an up and coming talent in Southern Gospel, is excited to announce that their latest single is now charting on several industry charts.

The song, “That’s My King,” was written by award-winning songwriter Rebecca J. Peck with Phil Barfoot.  The song is currently sitting at #38 on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart, the industry’s most respected weekly chart.

In addition, the song debuted at #91 on the July 2009 issue of the Gospel Music News Top 100 and #100 on the PowerSource Magazine Southern Gospel Top 100 chart. 

The song has also been a regular fixture on the GospelMusicTimes.com Top 100 Fan Chart – this week appearing at #12 on the only 100% fan based chart in the industry.

“This is such a fun song to sing in concert,” said Eddie Carden of Vertical Praise.  “We are so excited that radio has gotten behind the song.  We appreciate the way that they have supported our ministry through all these years.

“That’s My King” is the debut single from Vertical Praise’s third release, Grace Through Faith.  That recording was produced by Donna M. Beauvais for Vertical Sky Productions.

Vertical Praise's Newest Album - Grace Through Faith - Now Available!


Current Single – “That’s My King” – Doing Well at Radio!

NORTH GARDEN, Va. – Vertical Praise, an up and coming talent in Southern Gospel, is proud to announce the release of their third recording.

The new album, titled Grace Through Faith, released this month.  The recording was produced by Donna M. Beauvais for Vertical Sky Productions.

Holly Carden of Vertical Praise said, “We are so excited to finally have the completed project in our hands.  This project has been a long time coming, and we are so pleased to make it available to our friends, family, and fans!”

“This project was a real labor of love for Vertical Praise,” responded Vertical Praise’s Tony Hensley.  “It took a while for us to get the finished product, but we are more than pleased with this recording!”

The group recorded vocals for the album at Sunset Blvd. Studios in Franklin, Tennessee.  The album features songs written by some of Gospel music’s most prolific writers including Chris Binion, Rebecca J. Peck, Gerald Crabb, Sheri LaFontaine, Twila LaBar, Marty Funderburk, Daryl K. Williams, and many more. 

Grace Through Faith’s debut radio single, “That’s My King,” has already had a resounding response from fans and radio programmers.  The song was written by Rebecca J. Peck and Phil Barfoot and has already charted on the GospelMusicTimes.com Top 40 Fan Chart.

Vertical Praise Renews Contract with Southern Spin Entertainment

NORTH GARDEN, Va. – Vertical Praise has just renewed their contract with Southern Spin Entertainment. The up and coming trio has signed on for another year of exclusive publicity from Southern Spin Entertainment. Vertical Praise will continue to have access to all media publications serviced by Southern Spin Entertainment, as well as marketing possibilities with the organization.

In addition, Vertical Praise will receive a brand new, redesigned website through the new agreement as well.

Tony Hensley (Vertical Praise) Announces Engagement to Pam Campbell

image NORTH GARDEN, Va. – Vertical Praise, an up and coming talent in Southern Gospel, is excited to announce the engagement of group member Tony Hensley to Pam Campbell – both of North Garden, Virginia.

The happy couple became engaged on Friday, December 7, 2007 after a surprise dinner. After dinner, Tony drove Pam to the Starbucks where they had their first date. He asked her to marry her there.

Tony said, “Can you believe it? Seriously though, Pam is truly the answer to my many years of praying for the right girl for me. God is good!”

The couple has set the date of their marriage for November 15, 2008 in Charlottesville, VA.

Vertical Praise to be a Part of the Southern Spin NQC Showcase

Southern Spin Entertainment Announces Details Regarding Annual Showcase at National Quartet Convention

imageMURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Amy Marie Unthank and Chris D. Unthank, owners of SSE Group, are proud to announce the talent line up and details regarding the Southern Spin Entertainment Showcase during the week of the National Quartet Convention. The event will span two days and will feature a majority of Southern Spin Entertainment’s artist roster as well as friends of the company.

The SSE showcase will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, September 12 and 13, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Canterbury Room at the Executive Inn (East).

“We love getting a chance to show off our artists,” mentioned Amy Marie Unthank of SSE Group. “We feel like we have some of the best artists currently touring the nation, and we are happy to provide them with a platform in which they can let their ministries be showcased.”

The Wednesday, September 12, 2007 Showcase will feature performances from Amazed, Brothers Forever, Dave Williford Band, the Gardners, Heartland Harmony, HisSong, the Imperials, Sharron Kay King, New Day, Next Chapter Quartet, Sunday Edition, and Wendy Word + forgiven.

On Thursday, September 13, 2007, Sondra Burnett, the Cerces, Everyday Driven, the Glovers, Bev McCann, Mercy Rain, the Pathfinders, the Prophets Quartet, the Quicks, and Vertical Praise will all be performing. Additional artists are still being confirmed for the Thursday line-up.
